Samphathee, from the Thai epic Ramakien, is the mighty red bird and elder brother of Sadayu. After sacrificing his feathers to protect his sibling from the sun, he was cursed and grounded, only to be reborn in fiery glory when Rama’s army lifted the spell.

Inspired by this legend of sacrifice and renewal, the fragrance evokes sacred fire and rising smoke. It opens with Choya Loban (Frankincense), cypriol, and nutmeg, creating a sweet, resinous warmth like glowing embers.

At its heart, clove and rose reflect blazing red feathers, touched by the soft smoke of palo santo. The base of patchouli and cedarwood grounds the composition in deep, enduring warmth.
